To address the common challenge of decoding complex medical terminology, the smart reports aim to bridge the gap between patients and their radiology reports.

Aarthi Scans and Labs, a Chennai based diagnostic chain, has unveiled 'smart reports' to make patients understand the complex medical terminology often used in radiology reports, easily.

Powered by AI and ML, the Smart Reports include MRI, CT, PET CT, and Ultrasound scans.

Using this, every patient receives customised reports, carefully designed to convey intricate medical information in a digestible manner, incorporating illustrative diagrams for further clarity.

To ensure precision and accuracy, the educational content within these reports is curated and reviewed by experienced radiologists. The user-friendly interface allows patients to interact with medical terms by simply clicking on them, unveiling definitions and meanings instantly.

Accessible through Aarthi Scans' official website, patients can conveniently log in to view their personalised smart reports from any mobile device or laptop.

Dr. Arunkumar Govindarajan, radiologist and the executive director of Aarthi Scans and Labs emphasised the transformative nature of these reports within the radiology field.

He said, "We are excited to launch smart reports for radiology. Smart reports are a huge leap forward for radiology. They provide patients with the information they need to make more informed decisions without the need of searching Google.'

Established in 2000 by Govindarajan, Aarthi Scans and Labs has grown into a widespread diagnostic chain, operating across 11 states with over 250 branches.

The organisation stands out for housing India's largest collection of MRI scanners, featuring 55 advanced Siemens and GE MRI scanners in its arsenal.

Back in June 2023, Aarthi Scans & Labs collaborated with Siemens Healthineers to introduce AI-powered heart calcium scoring via CT scanning. This method precisely measures calcium accumulation within the heart's arteries and helps to assess risk of heart attacks.
