AIIMS Institutions Have Become COE in Quality & Innovation: President Murmu
At the ceremony, the President awarded gold medals to 8 top performers, while 61 students, including MBBS, MSc Medical, and Nursing graduates, received their degrees.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur has successfully conducted its first convocation ceremony, graced by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu as the chief guest.
While presenting degrees and medals at AIIMS Gorakhpur’s first convocation, the President lauded the AIIMS network for its excellence in education, research, and healthcare, calling it a shining symbol of India’s medical progress.
In her keynote address, President Droupadi Murmu praised AIIMS Gorakhpur for emerging as a center of excellence for tertiary care not only in Purvanchal but also for eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and even parts of Nepal.
Highlighting the institute’s meteoric rise, she described it as a “harmonious blend of service, compassion, and scientific spirit.”
Additionally, President Murmu praised the role of doctors as nation-builders, stating, “They not only alleviate pain but also contribute to building a healthier society.”
The president also encouraged graduating students to adopt modern technologies like Telemedicine, AI in Diagnostics, Robotic Surgery, and Wearable Health Tech, which are revolutionizing healthcare delivery.
Other dignitaries who attended the event included Smt. Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, and many other senior officials were also present at the event.
