BharatBox, a metaverse venture focused on India, and GOQii, a smart-tech health and wellness platform, have joined forces to launch India's first health and wellness platform in the metaverse.

The partnership introduces a fully immersive digital experience combining physical wellness with metaverse technology, powered by the Universal Health Token (UHT).

The collaboration aims to create a smart-tech ecosystem that gamifies preventive healthcare, enabling users to earn tokens for healthy activities, access health services, and benefit from a rewards system promoting wellness-focused behaviors.

GOQii and BharatBox's new platform offers an interactive space integrating fitness, mental health, and nutrition.

UHT, an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network, will incentivize healthy behavior through rewards for fitness achievements, healthcare services, and participation in decentralized governance.

Karan Keswani, CEO of BharatBox, said, "Our partnership with GOQii is grounded in the remarkable growth trajectory of both the Indian metaverse and the wellness industry. By integrating wellness into the metaverse, we’re tapping into a market set to contribute billions in the near future from metaverse-focused opportunities."

India’s metaverse adoption is rising rapidly, driven by increasing internet penetration and investments in Web3 infrastructure.

Reportedly, the metaverse market is growing globally at 13.93% annually, with India ranked among the top five contributors to its development.

Sharing thoughts, Agastya Samat, Director of the Force of Good Foundation, said, "This partnership addresses the global shift towards incentivized health behavior. Early projections show that tokenized ecosystems like ours could further increase user engagement, crucial for scaling to meet Indian users' evolving needs in digital healthcare."
