Fortis Hospitals & Teleflex Launch UroLift Training Center in Bengaluru

The initiative aims to equip medical professionals with in-depth training and knowledge on the UroLift™ System, a minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Teleflex Incorporated to establish a UroLift Center of Education for South Asia. 

The initiative aims to equip medical professionals with in-depth training and knowledge on the UroLift™ System, a minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Highlighting the initiative's clinical importance, Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD & CEO of Fortis Healthcare Limited, said, “The healthcare landscape continues to evolve, and more minimally invasive therapies continue to emerge. The training programs will be conducted at Fortis Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru. They will enhance clinical proficiency in delivering endoscopic surgical solutions for BPH without needing tissue removal, cutting, or heating. The system is recognized for providing rapid relief from urinary symptoms while preserving sexual function.
