Fujifilm India Advances Breast Cancer Detection Efforts with 125 New Digital Mammography Units

Fujifilm India has expanded its installation base, placing 125 AMULET Innovality digital mammography machines throughout India. 

This move aligns with the company's aim to raise awareness about early breast cancer detection and equipping healthcare professionals with advanced technologies for effective care.

During the recently organised 'Together Against Breast Cancer' conference, by Fujifilm in Goa, the essential aspects of information sharing, raising awareness, and fostering a collective commitment to enhancing women's health through early detection were discussed. 

Sonali Bendre, brand ambassador for Breast Cancer Screening Advocacy at Fujifilm India, said, "Being a cancer survivor, it's heartening to witness the concerted efforts of healthcare professionals and companies like Fujifilm India in advocating early diagnosis of breast cancer."

By leveraging advancements in imaging technology, Fujifilm India aims to encourage women from various backgrounds to prioritise their well-being and combat the stigma surrounding curable cancers.

Commenting on the same, Koji Wada, managing director of Fujifilm India, said,  'œWe firmly believe that improving access to technology and increasing awareness are pivotal steps toward fostering a healthier India."

Fujifilm India has been actively contributing to the growth of digital healthcare in the country. Previously, in July, the company launched an AI-powered Cancer Screening Health Centre, NURA Health Center in Gurugram, offering screenings for lifestyle disorders.

In another recent development, the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) allocated INR 204 Cr to enhance healthcare services at the Cochin Cancer Research Centre (CCRC) by acquiring essential medical equipment. 

In August, HCG Manavata Cancer Centre unveiled Manavata365 Home Healthcare Services in Nashik. 

This personalised service includes a team of over 300 trained home attendants, nurses, and on-call doctors, offering various services such as diet consultations, pharmacy services, lab tests, medical equipment rental, AI-based ECG tests, and ensuring comprehensive patient care and support.

The landscape of cancer care in India is experiencing a notable transformation, marked by substantial investments and advancements. These shifts underscore a collective effort to enhance healthcare services, particularly in cancer treatment and prevention.
