Fujifilm India Launches Advanced Mikoto Colon Model for Endoscopy Simulation
The device integrates technology into medical education, equipping healthcare professionals with realistic training tools to refine their skills in endoscopic procedures.
Fujifilm India introduced the mikoto Colon Model, an advanced endoscopy training simulator, at the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES) Prof Dr B Krishna Rau Simulation Training Program in Chennai.
The device integrates technology into medical education, equipping healthcare professionals with realistic training tools to refine their skills in endoscopic procedures.
The mikoto Colon Model is a compact and portable simulator equipped with advanced sensor technology and artificial intelligence. It evaluates procedures, scores performance, and offers four levels of difficulty, enabling surgeons to practice self-guided learning based on their expertise.
By simulating real-world scenarios, the model supports skill enhancement, leading to improved diagnostic and therapeutic precision in clinical practice.

Thanks to the efforts of IAGES Chennai 2024, under the leadership of Dr Zameer Pasha and others, we are launching simulation-based training program to advance surgeon education.”
The training initiative aims to equip professionals with the skills required to address the complexities of gastrointestinal conditions more effectively.
