Conducted in close collaboration with AWS’s technical teams, the pilot will explore Amazon Nova's fine-tuning potential to meet the demands of health-specific applications.

HSR.health, a leader in geospatial health risk analytics, has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to pilot test Amazon Nova, a newly launched foundation model, to determine its viability for advanced health AI applications.

These models, which integrate geospatial and demographic data for health risk insights, require a high degree of precision, transparency, and contextual awareness, traits essential in public health and clinical settings.

“We’re excited to collaborate with AWS on this important step forward for health-focused generative AI,” said Ajay K Gupta, CEO of HSR.health.

The Partnership Agenda

The pilot is being conducted in close collaboration with AWS technical teams to ensure Amazon Nova's broader relevance, particularly for healthcare, a sensitive and high-impact sector.

Conducted in close collaboration with AWS’s technical teams, the pilot will explore Amazon Nova's fine-tuning potential to meet the demands of health-specific applications.

It will assess the model’s accuracy, efficiency, and cost when adapted to HSR.health’s use cases, compare the fine-tuned version's outcomes against the base model across clinical, operational, and emergency response scenarios, and generate real-world performance benchmarks.

The findings aim to inform the development of a healthcare-specific version of Amazon Nova while supporting broader commercialization strategies and deployment models.

“This pilot will help determine how Amazon Nova can best support health use cases where accuracy, transparency, and contextual awareness aren’t just preferred, they’re required,” Gupta added.

This initiative also furthers HSR.health’s mission of delivering trustworthy, interpretable, and unbiased AI tools through its patented GeoMD platform and AI orchestrator, Anna, the first generative AI system designed specifically for health decision-making.

“Essentially, AWS is saying, ‘We like Anna and we want to ensure Amazon Nova can power what Anna delivers,’” said Ram Peruvemba, MD, FASA, HSR.health’s Chief Medical Officer.
