The expansion will introduce CenterWell facilities to Augusta and Savannah in Georgia, North Carolina’s Triad Region, and Wichita, Kansas.

Humana’s senior-focused primary care division, CenterWell, is set to expand significantly in 2025, with plans to open new clinics in four additional states and further growth in 11 existing markets, the company has recently announced.

The expansion will introduce CenterWell facilities to Augusta and Savannah in Georgia, North Carolina’s Triad Region, and Wichita, Kansas.

Additionally, between 20 and 30 new centers will be established in existing markets across 11 states. This includes locations co-located with Walmart stores, with 11 more such sites expected to be operational by the end of 2025.

“With our expansion efforts, we’re taking a thoughtful approach to growth, seeking out communities that would benefit from our holistic and personalized senior care model. And as we grow, we’re also working to further integrate CenterWell’s care delivery assets—primary care, home health, and pharmacy services—with the goal of delivering improved outcomes and a superior patient experience,’’ said Sanjay Shetty, M.D., president of Humana’s CenterWell healthcare services segment.

Reaching More Seniors with Primary Care Services

As of December 31, CenterWell and its sister organization, Conviva, provide healthcare services to approximately 390,000 seniors. Humana’s Primary Care Organization is recognized as the fastest-growing senior-focused primary care provider in the US

Furthermore, the expansion aims to improve access to primary care, particularly for underserved communities facing healthcare gaps. CenterWell and Conviva currently operate clinics in 15 states, focusing on delivering comprehensive, senior-centric healthcare services.
