IIT-Indore Incubated Startups Secures Funding for Healthcare Innovation
These startups are part of IIT Indore’s Charak DT Health Platform, a program aimed at transforming healthcare through technology.
Fifteen healthcare startups incubated at IIT-Indore have secured INR 5 Cr in funding to develop advanced medical technologies.
These startups are working on early disease detection, portable diagnostic solutions, and improving healthcare accessibility in rural areas.
The funding was announced at an event held at Habitat Center in Delhi, where Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Indore MP Shankar Lalwani handed over funding letters to the selected startups.
Each startup received a portion of the fund, with some eligible for grants of up to INR 1 crore.
These startups are part of IIT Indore’s Charak DT Health Platform, a program aimed at transforming healthcare through technology.
The initiative includes startups founded by IIT professors, AIIMS Bhopal doctors, and engineering-medical collaborations, underscoring the role of interdisciplinary innovation in advancing healthcare solutions.
The funded startups are developing cutting-edge solutions, including a wearable device by NovaWalk, which enables paralyzed individuals to walk again.
Another notable innovation is an AI-based language translation tool that allows patients to communicate with doctors in any language.
Additionally, a portable blood testing unit, designed to fit in a suitcase for use in trains and planes, and a robot-assisted ultrasound system for rural areas have been introduced.
