Healthtech startup Janitri has announced a collaboration with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) to accelerate innovation in pregnancy and newborn care solutions.

The partnership aims to address the global challenge of high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) by driving fast-paced and impactful innovations that can reach mothers and newborns across diverse settings.

Sharing thoughts, Arun Agarwal, Founder, Jainitri, wrote on LinkedIn - ''I am thrilled to share this exciting collaboration. Through the collaboration, Janitri and VIT plan to focus on three key goals: driving cutting-edge research and development in maternal and newborn health, building affordable and scalable medical devices, and strengthening academia-industry partnerships to deliver real-world healthcare impact.
