Joydeep Saha Takes Over as MD & CEO of ManipalCigna Health Insurance
Saha, who has been associated with ManipalCigna for over seven years, previously served as Appointed Actuary and Chief Officer, Actuarial, Product, Reinsurance, Group Underwriting & Analytics.
ManipalCigna Health Insurance has announced the appointment of Joydeep Saha as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, following regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Saha, who has been associated with ManipalCigna for over seven years, previously served as Appointed Actuary and Chief Officer, Actuarial, Product, Reinsurance, Group Underwriting & Analytics. He brings more than two decades of industry experience across actuarial science, product development, and insurance strategy.

Saha holds a Master’s in Applied Statistics and Informatics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and has held leadership roles across key insurance firms including Niva Bupa, Religare Health, and L&T General Insurance before joining ManipalCigna.
His appointment underscores ManipalCigna’s focus on continuity and deep domain expertise to drive the company’s long-term strategy and customer-centric growth.
