Kanpur’s Cardiology Institute to Integrate AI for Advanced Heart Attack Treatment

The Cardiology Institute in Kanpur is set to introduce AI technology to improve the diagnosis and treatment of heart attacks and other cardiac conditions.

Prof Premsil Meladenka from Charles University, Czech Republic, presented the potential benefits of AI in cardiac care, emphasizing its role in early detection and treatment of heart attacks.

Prof Rakesh Verma, Director of the Cardiology Institute, confirmed plans to fully digitize the institute and integrate AI within ICUs and OPDs. Senior cardiologist Dr Avdhesh Kumar Sharma highlighted that AI technology will assist general physicians in remote areas by interpreting ECG reports and identifying heart attacks early, ultimately leading to better treatment outcomes and higher survival rates.

The session was attended by Dr MM Razi, Dr Kumar Himanshu, Dr Praveen Shukla, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Dr Neeraj Prakash, Dr Madhuri Priyadarshi, along with nursing and paramedical staff.

The Laxmipat Singhania Institute of Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery in Kanpur, commonly known as Kanpur's Cardiology Institute, was established in 1975 The institute was founded with the support of the JK Charitable Trust, which donated the building.

Kanpur's Cardiology Institute is a tertiary care hospital dedicated to the treatment of heart diseases and cardiac surgeries. It offers a wide range of services, including preventive cardiology, diagnostic services, therapeutic services, cardiac surgeries, and emergency cardiac care.
