Kolkata’s Manipal Hospital Launches E-Pharmacy Services
The e-pharmacy service can only be accessed by individuals who are registered with Manipal Hospital Saltlake.
Manipal Saltlake hospital, a well-established multi-speciality facility in Kolkata, has launched an e-pharmacy platform service with free home medicine delivery for its registered patients.
The service offers free home delivery of prescribed and OTC medicines, within two hours across Kolkata, India, through partnered logistics providers and to districts via speed post.
Moreover the service is available exclusively to the registered patients and does not require an app download for access.
To activate the service, the user just needs to scan the QR code, available at all OPD counters and chambers, or send the prescription to the given number.
Launched in the presence of the esteemed clinicians, staff, and OPD patients of the hospital, this initiative by Manipal Hospitals (MEHPL) is especially beneficial for the district patients with limited access to reliable pharmacies.
Additionally, Manipal Hospital's Google Cloud technology, powered with support from Deloitte, will also help in streamlining the ePharmacy platform and reducing nurse handoff time.
