Metropolis Deploys CRD-Based Allergy Testing Platform Utilizing AI

Metropolis Healthcare has announced the launch of a novel Component Resolved Diagnostics (CRD)-based testing platform to aid India's population in allergy diagnosis. This allergy testing technology, which is in its fourth generation, makes use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist physicians in making sound clinical decisions and offers valuable insights into selecting the best course of treatment for an individual's allergic disease.

Using a simple blood test, the allergy test, which is powered by a nanotechnology-based multiplex system that makes use of molecular components, is able to quickly and easily identify specific IgE antibodies against 295 distinct allergens and provides results for 158 food allergens, 127 respiratory allergens, and 10 contact allergens.

For example, if a patient is allergic to milk, it can tell whether he or she can likely consume boiled or baked milk without getting sick or developing any clinical reactions, or if he or she needs to avoid milk in all forms.

The likelihood of local versus systemic reactions and the persistence of clinical symptoms can be distinguished with the help of knowledge of the allergenic molecules to which the patient is sensitive.
