These new rules will enable the creation of a digital database for registered births and deaths at both state and national levels.

In a significant step towards modernization, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, approved the implementation of digital registration and e-delivery of birth and death certificates.

The initiative, which aims to simplify processes, ensures the quick and hassle-free issuance of certificates online, significantly reducing waiting times.

To facilitate this transition, the Cabinet endorsed the Madhya Pradesh Birth and Death Registration Rules, 2024, amending the 1999 rules per the Office of the Registrar General guidelines.

These new rules will enable the creation of a digital database for registered births and deaths at both state and national levels.

They also streamline the registration process for adopted, orphaned, abandoned, and surrogate children, as well as for children of single parents or unmarried mothers.

In another move, the Cabinet approved linking the Consumer Price Index to consolidated salaries for state doctors and scholarships for graduate trainees and postgraduate fellows in nine government-run AYUSH colleges.

This decision ensures fair and competitive remuneration within the sector, encouraging growth and development.

Healthcare Investment in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh has secured an impressive INR 3,000 Cr investment in healthcare as part of its broader INR 78,000 Cr investment proposals, which were obtained during Chief Minister Yadav’s recent six-day visit to the United Kingdom and Germany.

Helion Pharmaceuticals, a leading pharmaceutical company, has committed to establishing a state-of-the-art facility at Indore’s Smart Industrial Park.

The state government has already allocated land for the project. This investment will focus on manufacturing advanced medical products, enhancing access to quality healthcare in the region.

Highlighting the importance of international collaboration, Yadav remarked, “We are committed to enhancing healthcare and ensuring Madhya Pradesh becomes a model state for growth and innovation.”

The partnerships aim to bring cutting-edge technology and expertise to the state, boosting its healthcare and industrial sectors.
