Neuberg Diagnostics, Star Imaging Partner to Launch Diagnostic Centers Across Maharashtra

Neuberg Diagnostics, a leading diagnostic chain, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Pune-based Star Imaging, an advanced medical imaging company, to expand integrated diagnostic centers across Maharashtra.
The partnership will bring advanced pathology, radiology, wellness, and genomics in a comprehensive setting, offering comprehensive diagnostic solutions to patients and clinicians across the state.
Star Imaging operates diagnostic centers in Pune’s Deccan, Bund Garden Road, Wakad, Baner, and Akluj.
“Our goal is to provide patients and clinicians with fast, accurate, and integrated diagnostic insights that enable early detection, precise treatment decisions, and better health outcomes. We are excited about the opportunity to scale this model across Maharashtra and bring advanced diagnostics closer to the people who need it most,” said Dr Ashish Atre, Director & Chief Radiologist, Star Imaging.
The partnership is in response to India’s increasing need for integrated diagnostics, eliminating fragmentation caused by siloed radiology and pathology services.
The unified approach improves diagnostic accuracy and accelerates clinical decision-making, which is crucial in managing the country’s rising burden of chronic diseases and demand for preventive care.
“As part of the expansion strategy, we plan to launch new integrated diagnostic centers across Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and other key cities in Maharashtra over the next two years,” Dr GSK Velu, Chairman and Managing Director of Neuberg Diagnostics, added.
The collaboration builds on Neuberg’s stronghold in pathology in the region through its subsidiary AG Diagnostics, which was developed in association with the Dr Ajit Golwilkar family. Simultaneously, Star Imaging leads in the radiology segment in Pune.
By combining both entities, Neuberg aims to become Pune and Maharashtra's largest Integrated Diagnostics provider.
Neuberg has also expanded its pathology network through joint ventures with Dr Awanti Golwilkar, Dr Vinanti Golwilkar, Dr Ajay Shah, Dr Kunal Sehgal, and the OncoPath Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Dr Jay Mehta, further cementing its presence across Pune and the Greater Mumbai region.
