The Ayushman Bhavah campaign's primary objective is to broaden healthcare coverage to include every village and town, overcoming geographical limitations and ensuring that no individual is devoid of healthcare access.

President Droupadi Murmu has officially launched the 'Ayushman Bhavah' campaign today. The scheme, initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is a comprehensive nationwide healthcare program with the goal of providing extensive healthcare services to every village and town across India.

It represents a significant shift in the healthcare landscape, building upon the success of the Ayushman Bharat program.

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the Ayushman Bhavah campaign will coincide with the 'Seva Pakhwada,' commencing on September 17 and concluding on October 2. It embodies a holistic approach involving all segments of society and the nation as a whole.

The campaign is a collaborative effort led by Gram Panchayats in partnership with the Department of Health, other governmental departments, and local elected bodies in both rural and urban areas.

The primary objective of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign is to transcend geographical barriers and ensuring that no one is left without healthcare access.

This initiative aligns with the vision of creating 'Healthy Villages' and 'Healthy Gram Panchayats,' laying the foundation for achieving Universal Health Coverage throughout the country.

Gram Panchayats that successfully implement the healthcare schemes will receive the prestigious title of 'Ayushman Gram Panchayat' or 'Ayushman Urban Ward,' symbolising their commitment to equitable healthcare provision.

Union Health Minister Mandaviya stressed the importance of the Ayushman Bhavah initiative for all states and Union Territories (UTs). He urged them to organise health camps at healthcare centres annually and encouraged every medical college to hold health camps at the block level. This campaign aims to ensure that patients screened at health fairs can access timely treatment.

Several states have recently announced the launch dates for the implementation of the Ayushman Bhavah initiative in their respective regions.

The Health Department of Haryana, for instance, is set to kickstart the campaign on September 17 to deliver central health schemes to eligible beneficiaries efficiently. Spearheaded by the Union Health Ministry, the campaign encompasses door-to-door registration, awareness campaigns, and health camps, extending until December 31.

Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP), Brajesh Pathak, announced that the Centre's Ayushman Bhava campaign, which aims to ensure the optimal delivery of all health schemes to every intended beneficiary, including those in the last mile, will be launched in UP on September 13.

The 'Ayushman Bhavah' campaign represents an effort to revolutionise healthcare access across India, emphasising equitable coverage for all, regardless of geographical location, with the support of Gram Panchayats, governmental bodies, and local communities.
