Punjab's ‘Farishtey’ Scheme Hospitals Now Accessible on Mappls Mobile App

The Punjab Government has integrated hospitals under its ‘Farishtey’ scheme into the Mappls Mobile App, enabling users to locate healthcare facilities for emergency road accident care.

This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was executed by the Traffic and Road Safety Wing of Punjab Police in partnership with the State Health Agency (SHA) and Map My India.

The Punjab Chief Minister Mann emphasized that the integration aims to streamline navigation, ensuring quick access to nearby hospitals.

Moreover, the initiative aims to reducing delays in transporting accident victims to medical facilities.

Mobile Application’s Key Features

With the help of the Mappls Mobile App, users can easily locate the nearest hospitals participating in the ‘Farishtey’ scheme. This includes both government and impanelled private hospitals.

Further, the app provides seamless navigation to these hospitals, ensuring quick and efficient routes, especially crucial during emergencies.

Along with directions, users also receive real-time updates and precise mapping, enhancing the reliability of the service.

About Farishtey Scheme

The ‘Farishtey’ scheme provides immediate, cashless medical care for road accident victims at government and impanelled private hospitals. Currently, 384 hospitals, including 238 private and 146 state-run centers, are part of the scheme and are now searchable through the app.

This integration is expected to enhance emergency response efficiency and improve outcomes for road accident victims across Punjab.
