Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has introduced India's first ETHOS Linear Accelerator with Surface Guided Radiotherapy, revolutionising cancer care. This innovative technology enables personalised treatment plans based on each patient's unique anatomy, ensuring precise targeting of tumors while minimising radiation exposure to healthy tissues. ETHOS adapts to changes in tumor shape and size, enhancing treatment effectiveness and reducing side effects.

The Ethos Linear Accelerator, manufactured by Varian, a leading global healthcare company, represents the latest advancement in radiation therapy technology. It combines advanced imaging, real-time artificial intelligence (AI), and adaptive treatment planning to deliver personalised and targeted radiation doses with unprecedented accuracy.

One of the key features of Ethos is its ability to capture high-quality images of the tumor and surrounding healthy tissues just moments before each treatment session. The AI-powered imaging system ensures that the radiation is precisely directed at the tumor, minimising exposure to nearby healthy organs and tissues.

The adaptive treatment planning feature allows clinicians to adjust the treatment plan in real-time based on changes in the tumor's size, shape, and position. This dynamic capability ensures that the patient receives the most effective treatment throughout the course of therapy, enhancing treatment outcomes and reducing potential side effects.

Apart from introducing India's first Ethos Linear Accelerator for cancer treatment, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital made notable strides in healthcare technology. Recent developments include implementing advanced medical imaging systems, adopting AI-driven diagnostic tools for improved accuracy, and launching telemedicine services to enhance patient access and remote healthcare consultations.
