Sakra World Hospital & IKOC Launch 50-Bedded Multi-Speciality Facility in BLR

Sakra World Hospital, India’s first 100% FDI (foreign direct investment) hospital, recently inaugurated a 50-bedded advanced multi-speciality hospital in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the International Knee and Orthopaedic Centre (IKOC).

Yuichi Nagano, Managing Director of Sakra World Hospital, emphasised the partnership's community-centric approach, saying, “This partnership with IKOC will set a new chapter in healthcare developments and research. By bringing our expertise and advanced technologies closer to the community, we aim to ensure timely interventions and better health outcomes for our patients.”

According to the release, the newly launched facility aims to provide specialised medical services in orthopaedics, orthospine, general surgery, cardiac surgery, urology, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. It is designed to integrate robust data interoperability and regulatory frameworks to ensure efficient and coordinated healthcare delivery.

Karnataka Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development M B. Patil, highlighted the significance of the new hospital, stating, “Sakra World Hospital has today opened a new chapter in healthcare with the launch of this state-of-the-art facility. It marks the beginning of a new era, bringing a ray of hope in world-class joint and spine treatment.”

The new hospital is positioned to enhance healthcare accessibility in Bengaluru, particularly in orthopaedics and spine care, while maintaining high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and integrated care.
