Swati Dalal Named Zydus Healthcare Managing Director

Dalal, currently part of the senior management at Zydus Lifesciences, brings over three decades of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Zydus Lifesciences has named Swati Dalal the Managing Director and Additional Director of its wholly owned subsidiary, Zydus Healthcare.

As per the company, the new appointment starts from 16 June 2025 for a period of five years.

The company’s nomination and remuneration committee (NRC) approved the appointment.

Dalal, currently part of the senior management at Zydus Lifesciences, brings over three decades of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Her career began at Wockhardt Nutrition, followed by leadership roles through corporate transitions at Boots, Knoll, Solvay, and Abbott.

At Abbott, she held several senior positions across sales, marketing, business development, and new product introductions. Dalal also served as Managing Director of Abbott Nutrition, Abbott Primary Care, and most recently, Abbott India.

An advocate for employee development and inclusion, she has actively led initiatives like Women Leaders of Abbott and the Early Career Network, advancing the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda in India.

Dalal holds a pharmacy degree from P K M Kundnani College of Pharmacy and a postgraduate degree in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

At Zydus, her leadership is expected to drive the company’s long-term growth and innovation agenda.

Zydus Lifesciences is an Indian pharmaceutical company headquartered in Ahmedabad. It develops, manufactures, and markets generic drugs, biologics, and vaccines. The company operates in domestic and international markets and has a presence in key therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and oncology.
