Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, has launched robotic knee replacement surgery using the MISSO Robotic System.

The technology aims to improve implant precision, reduce patient trauma, and support faster post-surgical recovery.

Zahabiya Khorakiwala, managing director, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, “At Wockhardt, we have consistently focused on bringing the best global technologies for our patients. The successful launch of robotic knee replacement in Mira Road marks a milestone in delivering precise, minimally invasive care that enhances quality of life.”

The MISSO system minimizes tissue damage, blood loss, and post-operative pain while enabling accurate implant alignment and faster rehabilitation. It uses 3D visualisation and real-time intraoperative feedback to personalise procedures based on individual anatomy.

Adding comments, Dr. Parag Rindani, group CEO, Wockhardt Hospitals, added that robotic systems are growing in improving clinical outcomes.

He said, “Robotic technology is transforming the orthopaedic landscape by improving surgical accuracy and patient recovery timelines. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing advanced, evidence-based care to our community.”

With this launch, the Mira Road facility expands its surgical offerings in orthopaedics using precision-based systems to support clinical decision-making and post-operative outcomes.
